Bring
Back the Joy --- B B t J . O r g

BBtJ.Org October / November 2005 News Letter

Dear Friends of BBtJ,Snow Cat

Winter has come to Central Oregon but there is sunshine in our hearts. Let us tell you about the joy in our lives.

As you know, we have been praying for direction for these upcoming winter months. We recently finished the season at East Lake Resort and Cascade Meadows RV Park. Mark met, counseled and encouraged a number of young summer workers (we cannot share details) whom he would not have come across any other way. Without even a day's break between jobs, Mark was offered and began a position as a mechanic at Mt. Bachelor, the big ski area near Bend, OR. We wonder what God has in store there. In the bigger picture, potential opportunities kept pointing us northward; therefore, we moved Bussie to a small trailer park in the center of Bend. It's close enough to walk to stores and Mark can walk 2 miles, then take the Mt Bachelor shuttle to work.

Girls Night OutVirginia continues with opportunities coming out of the relationship with Stonecroft Ministries. She has been approved as a Coordinator for the Friendship Bible Connections. This enables her to organize studies and order materials directly from HQ in Kansas. Even though we've moved to another town, she continues working with friends we've made in LaPine and with new ones in Bend. After having several articles about Girls' Night Out published in the Newberry Eagle (local monthly newspaper), Virginia has been given a by-line and called a contributing writer.

Some of you have asked why we don't tell you more about our plans in advance. It is the habit of many ministries to outline big plans for the future in an effort to get subscribers to donate "to the cause." Psalm 27:1(NLT) advises one not to brag about the future. Often one never hears any more about it. Did the activity happen, the building get built, or the conference occur? Of course, we do appreciate it if the Holy Spirit inspires you to send a donation or become a partner. But we prefer to tell you what has actually been happening in our lives and ministry so that you may rejoice along with us as we serve the Lord. The truth is we'd rather live out God's plan for us, than make up and promote our own agendas. You may read about events as they occur in Virginia's Journal. This is our way of keeping you updated without peppering you with emails or paper letters.Mount Bachelor

Thanks for your continued prayers. Stay safe and warm during the winter and holiday seasons. We wish the best for you.

Love to all of you,

Mark & Virginia Lane Bolzern

Feedback from our Readers

Laura G: It's good to “hear” from you. When I do take the time to read your journal I am so impressed with all you are doing! Just that you are taking the time to listen to what God might want for you and the “out of the typical box” lifestyle is an adventure I enjoy glimpsing from over your shoulder!

Evelyn D: I've read the online book (see prior BBtJ newsletter) and loved it. It put into words our walk with the Lord these past years. I've told many of my friends about the book and they love it and are telling others. It has been such a blessing. I'm starting to read it over and highlight things. Richard is also reading it. Jake did such a good job explaining truths that in ways it makes me so sad for the church. Sunday, I grieved at many things while at church. I had seen them for so long, but didn't have words for the problems much less solutions. This walk is so different from the world.

Ivan P: Hi Virginia and Mark. Nice to see you two prospering. If you come this way, call. Have tried to read and hit a few of your banners to help all I can from this end. I did hit a banner this morning for fun as usual and found a banner "Pagan Decals" or something like that. It is my guess that it is part of the amazon.com banner, but it raised my eyebrows a bit. I Love you both very much. You are in my prayers.

Answer: While we've chosen to give viewing opportunities for ads on our website, we don't have any say over which Google ads pop up. Nor do we believe in censorship. One just has to overlook it if an ad comes up that is not in agreement with the tenants of our ministry. Feel free to click on any banners that catch your eye and you are genuinely interested in. Don't click on stuff just for the sake of doing it. We do appreciate that you look at some of the advertising....pennies from heaven?

New Opportunity

We are pursuing a opportunity which we liken to Paul's "tent-making" (Acts 18:3) for income. It is thought that 80% of companies are overcharged on Worker's Compensation or Business Liability Insurance. If you are or know a business owner/CEO, we can potentially get a refund for past years plus save the company thousands of dollars on future premiums without having to change insurance carriers or agents. More information can be found at http://www.OPDAR.com.

Book Review by Virginia

Several years ago, I asked a pastor friend “How do I know that God loves me?” The answer “You just have to know that he does” didn't do it for me. I went away in frustration. The answer I was looking for is now freely available on the web. The ebook He Loves Me by Wayne Jacobsen, has been posted to our website in the links sections. You can read it online or print it.

God never wanted people to be scared of him. Instead, he wanted to have a loving relationship with mankind, beginning with Adam and Eve. The relationships changed when those first humans gave in to temptation. Wayne Jacobsen of Lifestream Ministries answers many of the questions I had concerning God. He tackles difficult issues as to what really happened in Eden, why God the Father is perceived as a harsh God, Why Christ had to die, and what the wrath of God is. To read more about He Loves Me, read my review at http://www.bbtj.org/reviews/HeLovesMe.html.
