Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Q: What are you? A: On-the-job trainees of Jesus, who share God's Love by example, encouragement, and friendship.

  2. Q: What do you Believe? A:

    1. The Bible contains God's Word which can be trusted, the ultimate proof of which is God's personal involvment in each of our lives as we interact with him on his terms.
    2. Jesus Christ came to earth and lived as a human being
    3. Jesus died, taking upon himself the penalty for the sins (past, present and future) of those who believe in Him.
    4. The resurrection of Jesus gives each of us access to life eternal if we choose him, truly believe him, and live it.
    5. God loves us, so the Holy Spirit is available to each of us who believes and asks, to comfort and guide us into the things of God.
    6. Jesus will return in the last day of this age, ultimately judge good from evil, and no man can know exactly when that will be.
    7. We are saved from the penalty of our own sin, and redeemed into the potential God intends for us, by God's grace, through faith in Jesus. We must have a heart of love towards God, others and ourselves.
    8. Guided by the Holy Spirit we will bear positive fruits that can be seen. However presence or absence of these fruits at any given point in time cannot be properly judged by other human beings, only by God who knows our thoughts and intents.

  3. Q: What is your Agenda? A: It's four fold

    1. To Learn from every place, situation and person from which God would have us learn
    2. To be a Blessing to others.
    3. To find and get to know our brothers and sisters in Christ wherever they may be found, and connect with potential followers of Jesus. To encourage all with Joy, and share the Good News (of Jesus) so that the Joy of the Lord may be their strength. Our primary method for doing this is using the power of the Internet in creative ways. The Internet is a tool given by God, in this time for the increasing of his kingdom, even into places where it is currently too dangerous to physically send his servants. We follow this up with travel as the Holy Spirit indicates, and spend significant time in each area we visit, while making personal contact just as Jesus, Paul and the other apostles did.
    4. Jesus is a CEO who with God's guidance built a small team in a short time that went on to influence the world. The principles, methods and power Jesus used are available to us as well. God uses human tools who are willing, according to the same principles to do his will on this earth today. Where invited and also led by the Holy Spirit, we wish to use our life and business experience to aid gifted teachers, preachers, musicians, artists, and others to fulfill their calling by assisting them in lining up with these principles. Far too many are discouraged by lack of growth in their ministries, and are in constant defeat because of lack of knowledge in many vital areas. We will also help these servants to connect and network with others with whom they might have symbiotic relationships.

  4. Q: How come you are not rich and running a big business if you are so good at all this?

A: At the start of our walk into ministry, we were in business. We helped launch an entire industry, our company grew to about 10 Million a month flowing through, and 155 employees before we sold it. We also assisted many competitors to grow even more than we did in the process, leading the way to galvanize them into an industry. God used that experience to prepare us for what he has for us to do now, as he unifies the body of Christ. It has become clear to us that our calling is not running a big business. Rather its giving up our own materialistic plans and surrendering to God's plans for us, a ministry of sharing Godly principles with others.

  5. Q: How do you support yourselves?

A: Free will offerings from those who believe in what we do, and those to whom we minister. We have had a rapidly dwindling cash flow left over from the sale of our previous business. We trust that God is faithful, will give us favor, and will lift us up as we lift up others. We believe we are to be a blessing in this life with all that we are and have. God sees to our daily needs just as he did those of Jesus and Paul in their ministries (including giving us “Bussie,” our beautiful home on wheels). We believe that We can be supported by the people to whom we minister, just as many gave of their substance to support Jesus in his ministry.

  6. Q: Tell us about your partnership program.

A: If everyone on our mailing list supported us with just a $.25 (a quarter) per day, $7.50 per month we would have abundant cash flow to keep doing what God has asked us to do so far. Since it is naive to think that everyone will participate, it is fortunate that some will want to do substantially more. With only 200 people giving a quarter a day, we would break even with our regular monthly expenses; additional amounts would allow us to go above and beyond. The most important part is not the amount of money, but rather consistency that can be counted upon. If we came to visit, how many of you would be willing to buy us a meal or provide a place to stay? Partnership with BBtJ.Org can be even less expensive than one lunch a month, and accomplish so much more! For more information please visit http://BBtJ.Org/about/partnering.html We would greatly appreciate it if you'd sign up for a small recurring donation. To those who do, thank you very much. If not, we love you anyway!

  7. Q: Are you a preacher?

A: In being introduced by an acquaintance to another, I was introduced as a preacher. I clarified that I am a minister, not a preacher. Several people were talking at one time; I'm sorry to say that I missed the question “What's the difference?” (My wife later told me that I had ignored the question.) I do have an answer that I hope I can share next time I see my friend.

The term preacher is one who preaches, and is often incrorrectly used synonymously with “pastor” as one who is anointed to teach and speak into the lives of groups of people, usually in a church setting. This could be true. On the other hand, preacher could also be considered a derogatory term as someone who is “in your face” thinking he's doing you or God a favor by preaching condemnation at you. There is little if any love there and usually no relationship.

A minister is an individual who cares about people and, spends time “ministering”, getting to know people by spending time with them in their world and culture. He (the generic term “he” meaning male or female person) finds ways to encourage or help them because he cares and because God cares. He does the best he can to be as much like Jesus as possible, being at peace to not tell people how to live unless they ask but provide an example that they see as love and want to emulate as they get to know God through him. We do not seek opportunities to speak to groups, but will not turn them down should they be presented.
